tree-hug on december 18

While trudging through the snow this morning I pondered how the rolling-hilled trail I was on was a lot like the proverbial story of walking to school uphill both ways in the snow.  Today's tree-hug was truly a welcome relief.

My new tree-friend, a snowy coifed birch, didn't hold back her amazement.

I was impressed with how her papery bark-swirls and twists played in the snow.

A sweet tree-maiden's long lashed bark-eye peeked out at me.

Her smooth lenticel impressed limb stretched up to the sky.

The soft curve of snow-crystals delicately placed in between the trunks inspired wonder. Message: Imagine the gentle flow of nature shaping your life.  The ups and downs, the struggles and times of relief.  All part of the Way.  Imagine peace
