What is Reiki Healing?
Reiki Healing is an ancient energy healing technique that was reintroduced to the world by Mikao Usui in the1920's.
The word REIKI (pronounced RAY-KEY) is made up of two Japanese words. REI meaning "God's Wisdom" or "Universal Source". KI meaning "Life Force Energy". In short, Reiki is Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy.
Reiki is a gentle laying on of hands during which a warm and soothing energy flows through the practitioners hands into the receiver. Reiki can also be done with the practitioner's hands in the person's energy field and also as distance healing. Reiki is deeply relaxing which facilitates the release of tension on all levels - mind, body and spirit. This in effect stimulates the body's natural healing processes.

You can experience Reiki Healing with me through personal sessions and/or learn Reiki Healing in the workshops I offer throughout the year.
What is a session like?
Receiving Reiki Healing is experienced as deeply calming, peaceful and restorative. In my safe healing space accumulated stress and tension, be it physical, emotional or mental, is gently released. Balancing and restorative energies then fill those spaces. The spiritual aspects of the healing energy bring the appropriate energy in just the right form to where it is needed the most, always for your highest and best.
Who can learn Reiki? What are the workshops about?
Everyone can learn Reiki. It is an effective, innate skill we can use to help take care of ourselves and others. Most people learn Reiki to use it for themselves and their families, though many professionals in the healthcare field also use Reiki. It is especially helpful for people with caring hearts who want to ease suffering.
My level 1 Reiki workshop is an introduction to the Reiki healing energy and focuses on self-healing. The level 2 workshop expands upon this with a focus on deeper self-healing and learning how to use Reiki to help other's with healing. Those that have completed both of these workshops are welcome to attend my monthly Reiki Healing Circles.

What is a Reiki Healing Circle?
Reiki Circles or shares are a wonderful tradition of Reiki practitioners. During the Circle participants share Reiki experiences, send healing as a group to people not present in a silent distance healing meditation, and do healing sessions with one another. I hold monthly Reiki Circles on Zoom. The evening Circle has been meeting regularly since 1999! We share not only healing but community with one another. I hope to resume the in-person Reiki Circle in 2023.
What do you charge for a session?

REIKI 1 WORKSHOP - "Using Reiki for Self-Healing"
During this experiential and healing class you will learn about the history of Reiki, the Reiki Healing principles, the hand positions for using Reiki on yourself, and how the positions align with the subtle energy centers in the body.
You will have the opportunity to experience the healing energy in a variety of ways during the class.
Workshop Includes: Level 1 attunement, full & guided instruction, comprehensive written materials, quiet contemplation time, demonstration & practice time.
