Tree-hug on August 31

A beautiful morning for a tree-hug walk, not too hot, not too cold.  This tree got my attention as we explored off-trail again.  Because the undergrowth is so much less, I was able to stop by for a visit.

She seems like a tree-princess following the light through the woods.

If we could sit on her sturdy (made-for-a-ride) tree-arm as she strolled we'd have a perfect view of the blue-green leaf-continent in the distance.

And this happy guy at the top just scratches his head and wonders, what is going on here?
