A thrilling tree-hug this morning.  And did I enjoy it!

The view looking up from my sturdy tree-arm-perch.

It was like getting a ride on a friendly tree-llama.

An intricately patterned tree-angel caught my attention but was shy revealing her face to me.

While up higher this deeply textured tree-overseer was not being shy about his presence in the woods.  Message:  You are an intricate being in an intricate world. ​ Take a step out of your comfort zone.  Welcome a new perspective.   

 Extras:  A yellow poplar leaf.  

This was a tree we saw earlier in the walk.  The mushrooms are a sign that the tree is not healthy.  This amazing display of fungi on the tree was beautiful and a little sad. The dying and dead trees provide other living things, even trees in its own family, nutrients and opportunities for growth.  The forest truly teaches important lessons.
