I was off the ground again for this morning's tree-hug. A mysterious tree-woman standing guard above me hailed a greeting. Then this scruffy bearded ancient tree-man honored me, revealing his face. A magical vision in the serene autumn woods. This powerful tree-presence solidly settled into the land. A home to many woodland creatures over countless years. And with many a tale to tell. Oh my! Message: Follow the magic in your heart. There is beauty, friendship and wisdom there. Be whole. Peace.

A careful tree-hug this morning with a beautiful and fragile paper birch. Its gleaming sunlit bark caught our attention through the woods. It was a special treat meeting this papery spiral-bark-nosed tree lady. I could have spent hours looking at the many ways it showed its delicate intricacy. The sun glinting through a natural paper curl was magical. Not only beautiful, this tree has many special properties. Its bark is waterproof and has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Message: Respect nature. Make its care a priority. It is our source of nourishment and life. What could be more important?
A comforting tree-hug this morning with a beautiful chestnut oak. A friendly tree-waver up high welcomed me. A fantastically textured tree-being was celebrating the light-filled day. A happy dancing tree-lady with her arms outstretched. When I turned I saw she was wishing me peace. And down below, holding up the whole show, the solid sturdy tree-trunk. Powerful and yet accepting of its young tree-friend next door. Tree-Message: Peace in the woods. Peace in your heart. Peace above. Peace below. Peace all around. Peace. Love. Light.
It felt good to hug a colorful tree this cold morning. Beautiful curves. Delicious smooth bark. A host of interesting tree-beings. Like this lovely cubist upside-down bark-lady. And a wrinkly elephant-trunk tree-trunk. ready to snack on some tasty leaves. I enjoyed meeting this uniquely snooted tree-fellow. He looked a little beat up, but things are healing. Interesting fact: the light colored trails on the bark are made by slugs eating the algae. Message: Let your heart be open. Friends are everywhere, they just might not look as you expect them to. Be grateful. ~ Peace Until I get them on the blog, you can see my tree-hugs from April, May, June and July on my Facebook page.
This young tree called me down an unexplored slope for today's tree-hug. I appreciated its secure feeling and balanced energy. The tree-neighbor in the background looked a little wild and crazy in comparison. Something to smile about. Message: As best you can stay in tune with your inner balance. Appreciate what's different. Share peace.
