Another drizzly morning tree-hug. Even though it was dreary the moss, lichen and leaf greens glowed brightly. On the way back a friendly salamander posed patiently on a rock. 💚 The light always shines within. 💚 Peace
We had walked a few miles when I was drawn to this area off the trail. A lovely tree awaited me there. A glorious tree-dancer towered above. As I took my pictures an owl hooted nearby. The soft-green of spring suffused the woods and me. Step into the peace of your heart's true-knowing. 💚 Peace
A tree-hug by the house today. The last time I hugged this lovely maple we were in the midst of a snowstorm. It was raining but I was sheltered by her leaves of green. Did you know maple 'keys' are the fruit of the tree. Fragrant lily-of-the-valley with vinca blossoms. The white lilac bloomed this year. Tis the season of color, fragrance and light. Celebrate. 💚 Peace
My tree-hug this morning was with a striped maple. Its unusual green striped bark caught my eye. It's called 'whistlewood' because its bark can be made into whistles. I read its leaves are favored by boy scouts camping out. A thick above ground root connected these two trees to each other. Nearby a 'downy yellow violet' with its own tree-markings peeked out. Hug a tree, smile at a flower, be happy for today. 💚 Peace
The luminous dogwood petals called out this morning. And colorful columbine danced in the breeze. Welcome, May. 💚 Peace
